Dating profile headlines are the bait that you place delicately on the hook of your profile. They need to be magnetic, enticing and mysterious… They need to be so good that NO woman can resist clicking to read more.
I’ve discovered a very powerful secret to headline creation that giant corporations have been using for years. If these companies can use this technique in order to get you to buy all kinds of useless crap, think of what it could do to your date-getting abilities. In just a second, I’m going to give you this secret for FREE…
But first, I want to give you some background on myself so you’ll actually use my advice.
As the founder of a company that’s helped hundreds of frustrated guys become more attractive online overnight, I’ve been living and breathing this stuff for years now, and through experimentation and testing, I know the value of an attractive headline.
Granted, your headline is a small piece of the puzzle. No matter how delicious and tempting the bait, the trap has to do its job or the mouse will get away. Then again, a trap is useless without its succulent bait. In other words, if your profile is good, and your headline gives off a tantalizing aroma… you’re golden.
Boring Headlines: What Not To Do
The problem is virtually NOBODY is writing their headlines in the right way. To illustrate my point, I just logged into Match.com and snagged the first three men’s dating profile headlines I saw. Here they are:
“Fun, fit, adventurous guy”
“Single and ready to mingle”
Do these really need any commentary? They’re obviously extremely lame and boring. They don’t make you want to “click” through to get to know these guys. In fact, there’s nothing curious or interesting about them and they could belong to ANYBODY.
Online Dating Headlines That Make Her “Click”
And now for the big secret… If you’re “single and ready to mingle” and don’t want to stay that way forever, you need to use one thing that the largest corporations use in their marketing… Curiosity.
Marketers, government propagandists and bestselling authors use the curiosity principal in their marketing, in very subtle ways, to get you to buy Snuggies, $300 jeans and all sorts of worthless garbage.
At ViDA, I train my profile writers to use the captivating element of curiosity in the profiles we write. And the first line of defense is the dating profile headline. You have less than a second to catch a woman’s attention. She’ll be scanning the page looking at photos and headlines. If your headline is boring, there’s a MUCH bigger chance she’ll pass you by.
This is why I invented “curiosity headlines.” They’re headlines that make a reader so curious and that she’ll have to click on your profile and keep reading just to quench her burning desire to know…
Here are some curiosity headlines that would probably get a lot of clicks:
“Trust me… I’ll never text while driving a camel again…”
This one says you’re an adventurous traveller and has the advantage of being humorous. By the way, you better have a REAL story to back something like this up or you’ll be digging a very big hole for yourself!
“These 3 words of Russian saved my life…”
This one says you’re smart, cultured and knowledgeable in a very unique way that sets you apart from the pack. If you said “Smart, cultured and knowledgeable” in your headline it would be boring. This one, on the other hand, hints at an adventurous story, and she’ll need to click through to your profile if she wants to find out what it is.
“You probably won't believe this but…”
The headline above is more generic and I included it as a gift for guys who are struggling with this process. Now your job is to intro your profile with a cool story or hilariously attractive factoid about yourself that will make her laugh or just blow her mind in general.
Notice how these headlines uniquely offer a subtle hint that this is just the tip of the iceberg…? And that the girl who’s reading it might be rewarded with something fun (and a guy who’s interesting to date) if she clicks through and reads more?
At ViDA, we write magnetically attractive and alluring profiles for our clients every day. This process includes the creation of multiple headline options. We strive for alluring and curiosity-inducing headlines that entice women to click through and check you out.
