We haven’t published any blog posts in almost three weeks because we’ve been overloaded with new clients. We even have a waiting list for women that want to get started once we officially begin servicing female clients (projected launch date: November 23rd).
That’s no excuse though so we’d like to apologize for not staying active on our blog. Shame on us!
Earlier this week, we decided to do some more data analysis to see how much the day of the week that an initial contact email is sent affects the response rate. We already had an idea about which were the best days to send messages but we didn’t know just how much it really mattered.
Through the analysis of over 2500 initial contact emails we’ve sent for our clients, we found that messages sent on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday had around a 50% lower response rate than messages sent on the other four days of the week.
That’s right – 50% lower!
So… it’s simple, from now on only send online dating messages on Wednesday, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays! If you feel the need to write messages on the other days, that’s fine… just wait until one of the best four days to send your emails and double your chances of getting a reply.
We should mention that on Wednesdays we only send messages after office hours while on Fridays we tend to send messages during the late afternoon. Friday is the least busy day of the week for a lot of people so it is more understandable that one of our clients would send an online dating message during office hours on a Friday than on a Wednesday (or any other weekday for that matter). Plus, we would never want to send a message to a woman that our client is interested in on a Friday evening. The last thing we want her to think he spends his Friday nights doing is sending messages to women online!
We would like to give you the final answer about which of the four days is the best but the stats for those days were just too close to draw any definitive conclusions. Don’t worry though… each week we are collecting more data than the previous week. At some point we will surely post a follow up on this topic with more insightful and conclusive information. Until then, just stay clear of sending messages on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays!
